Hermes Paris Silk Scarf Les Armes de Paris Pattern - An authentic Hermes Paris silk scarf in the Les Armes de Paris pattern, originally designed by Hugo Grygkar in 1954. The scarf features a central heraldic crest depicting a sailing ship, the emblem of Paris, set against a red shield and a blue field of gold fleur-de-lis. This central motif is encircled by twelve smaller historical coats of arms representing various eras of the city. The design includes the circular inscriptions LES ARMES DE PARIS and the city's Latin motto FLUCTUAT NEC MERGITUR. The colorway consists of a cream ground with a dark forest green border and a bright yellow hand-rolled hem. Heraldic elements are rendered in shades of gold, red, and blue. The scarf is constructed from 100 percent silk. Visible markings include the printed HERMES PARIS signature in gold-toned characters at the bottom center of the green border and a small circled c copyright HERMES mark in the upper-left quadrant of the cream ground.
