Hermes Joies d'Hiver Silk Jacquard Scarf - A vintage Hermes silk jacquard scarf featuring the Joies d'Hiver (Winter Joys) pattern, designed by Joachim Metz. The composition depicts a nineteenth-century winter scene with various figures in period-appropriate attire ice skating. The central field contains a medallion featuring a skating couple surrounded by ornate scrollwork and additional skaters, all set against a landscape of bare winter trees and a weeping willow. This particular example is crafted from silk jacquard, which features a decorative tone-on-tone floral pattern woven directly into the fabric, visible in both the red border and the white central ground. The scarf is finished with hand-rolled and hand-stitched edges. The design includes a printed banner reading HERMES-PARIS and the title Joies d'Hiver at the top center of the inner field. A white fabric care label is attached to one corner, printed with MADE IN FRANCE / 100% SILK / DRY CLEAN ONLY and the corresponding French text on the reverse.
