Akoya Cultured Pearl and Garnet Jewelry Suite with Japanese Gemological Identification Card - This jewelry suite comprises a graduated cultured pearl and garnet necklace with matching screw-back earrings. The necklace is composed of a single strand of graduated white to cream-colored cultured pearls. Interspersed between the pearls are faceted purple-red gemstone spacers, consistent in appearance with garnets. The necklace is secured with an oval filigree box clasp featuring a safety catch, stamped SILVER on the reverse. The matching earrings each feature a single cultured pearl mounted on a silver-toned screw-back mechanism for non-pierced ears. The screw heads are stamped SILVER along with additional Japanese characters that are not clearly legible. Accompanying the suite is an identification card from the Central Gem Laboratory in Japan identifying the specimens as Akoya cultured pearls.
