Hermes Les Robes Silk Scarf by Philippe Ledoux with Box - This authentic Hermes silk twill scarf, titled Les Robes, features a design by artist Philippe Ledoux first issued in 1971. The pattern consists of a cream central field decorated with nine individual vignettes of horses illustrating different coat colors (robes), each accompanied by a figure in historical equestrian attire. The horses are labeled in both French and English: Alezan brule - Dark chestnut, Pie bai - Piebald, Bai brun - Dark bay, Blanc mat - White, Gris pommele - Dappled grey, Noir franc - True black, Isabelle - Light bay, Gris souris - Light grey, and Alezan dore - Chestnut. The composition is framed by a golden braided rope border with ornamental medallions and a solid light blue outer border.
