Hermes Ludovicus Magnus Silk Scarf Designed by Francoise de la Perriere - This Hermes 90cm silk twill Carre scarf features the Ludovicus Magnus (Louis the Great) pattern, designed by artist Francoise de la Perriere and originally issued in 1963. The design centers on an equestrian portrait of King Louis XIV, the Sun King, in full military regalia. The central image is framed by elaborate 17th-century style royal and military motifs, including sunbursts, fleur-de-lis, crowns, armor, and heraldic emblems. The composition is enclosed within a border of ropes, tassels, and shell motifs. The colorway consists of a cream ground with accents in gold, taupe, and coral-red. The scarf is finished with signature hand-rolled and hand-stitched hems.
