Unique, Large Calendar Printed by the "Beis Yitzchak"; Vienne, 1828
Colored Print with Illustrations of the Zodiac Signs

Rare 128 year calendar created by Rabbi Yitzchak, the son of Rabbi Eliezer of Munkacz, author of Beis Yitzchak, Ohel Yitzchak and Lekitas Yitzchak.

Rabbi Yitzchak was renowned as an expert in the laws of slaughtering and treifos. His treatise on the topic was widely accepted and was reprinted many times. However, his expertise in astronomy and calendar calculation was largely unknown.

This calendar is exceptionally rare. It is not listed in any bibliographies, nor is it in the National Library in Jerusalem.

This beautiful wall calendar is decorated on both sides with the twelve zodiac signs, surrounded with a decorative border. Some of the titles are written in red ink. Detailed instructions explaining how to use the calendar are written at the top.

Large calendar: 48 x 37 cm | Greenish paper | Scattered small holes, reinforced back
