Torah novellae on Shas, Rambam, Shulchan Aruch and Nach by the Ohr Hachaim, Rabbi Cham ben Attar.

The novellae printed in this sefer were composed and inscribed by the Ohr Hachaim in Yeshivas Knesses Yisrael which he founded upon his arrival in the Holy Land. As his disciple inscribed in the preface to this work, “We heard directly from the sacred mouth of the author zt”l that he determined to call it Rishon Lezion as it was the first of his offerings upon the holy soil.”

The title page bears the signature of Rabbi Ber Adler Hakohein, a dayan in Frankfurt and relative of Harav Nosson Adler whose novellae were published in Lashon Zahav (Offenbach, 1828).
