Rabbi Yaakov Yitzchak of Biala

A letter of greetings for the new year, signed by the holy hand of the first Admor of Biala, Rabbi Yaakov Yitzchak Rabinovitz, Author of "Divrei Bina".

"The blessed [the blessed] days are here the days of appeasement, mercy and forgiveness. May it be the will of the one who remembers good deeds, that we should be remembered and accounted for salvation and mercy from the abode of blessings to be written in the book of the righteous immediately for life, we should be written and sealed with a double good physically and spiritually, and with healthy children, life and sustenance. And with a peace of mind to study his Torah and to serve him properly, for us and our children and to all that are together with us and to all our brothers of Israel"

Rabbi Ya'akov Yitzchak of Biala (1847-1905) son of Rabbi Natan Dovid of Shidlovitza son of Rabbi Yerachmiel of Pshescha son of Rabbi Yaakov Yitzchak - 'the Holy Jew' of Pshescha and he was named after him. From the year 1873 took over the position of his father-in-law Rabbi Yehoshua of Ostrava (son of Rabbi Shlomo Leib of Lentshene) and thousands of Hassidim followed his leadership. Even as a child he amazed all his surroundings and the holy Admo”r Rabbi Chaim of Sanz stood up in his honor!!. Rabbi Yehezkel of Kozmir called him 'Rabbi' and Rabbi Eliezer of Dzikov presented him with a 'Kvital'.
