Double  The Brachos! from the Chofetz Chaim “May he be inscribed for a year of life, peace, and all good.” * A Letter Overflowing with Blessings for the New Year, Signed Twice by the Holy Chofetz Chaim Radin, Aseres Yemei Teshuvah, 1931 A letter overflowing with blessings for the new year from the leader of Yisrael, the Chofetz Chaim. Written on the 4th of Tishrei, during the Ten Days of Repentance, 1931. At the time of writing, the Chofetz Chaim was nearing the age of ninety-four, about two years before his passing. Among his blessings, the Chofetz Chaim writes: ”May Hashem repay your good deeds and may your reward be complete from Hashem… and may you be inscribed for a year of life, peace, and all good … and may you succeed in all your endeavors and may we merit a year of redemption and salvation together with the entirety of Klal Yisrael who await and yearn for salvation… and may Hashem finalize their inscription for good… from the soul of one who blesses them with a final good inscription.” Sent to Rabbi Yehudah Newman and the members of the synagogue under his leadership in London for their contribution in supporting the great yeshiva in Radin, which ”to my sorrow, is in a terrible and exceedingly dire situation”. The Radin Yeshiva was founded by the Chofetz Chaim (1838–1933) in 1869 and remained the apple of his eye until his very last day.
