Corinthian black-figure alabastron of the Luxus Group. - Corinthian black-figure alabastron of the Luxus Group. Early Corinthian, 625 - 600 BC. Height 12cm, ø corpus 6,9cm. In the centre on the front a large ornament with palmette and lotus bud, on each side a swan with sickle wings, between rosettes and other filling ornaments. Details in red, numerous rows of white dots ( white-dot style ). Painting flaked off at tiny spots, otherwise intact.
