Attic black-figure eye-cup from the Workshop of Nikosthenes. - Attic black-figure eye-cup from the Workshop of Nikosthenes. 520 - 500 BC. Height rim 8cm, width with handles 27,5cm, ø bowl 21,2cm. Type A with Nikosthenian foot. Inside tondo framed with several circles and inside with gorgoneion with red painted tongue. Outside large eyes with white and red circles, between satyrs, one with grapes, surrounded by vine. Reassembled from fragments, three large and several small missing parts are filled but not retouched.
