Urn of the Villanova-culture. - Urn of the Villanova-culture. 9th - 1st half 8th century BC. Height 29,2cm, ø corpus 27,6cm. Biconical vessel with ribbed handle at the side made of dark grey impasto. Engraved decor in form of two friezes between groups of lines, above in the frieze opposite angles, below metopes with crosses. Below the overhanging mouth two rows of stamped circle-dots. With TL-analysis! Large fissure in the corpus, mouth several times broken and restored, four missing parts retouched.
