North Africa, 4th century AD. ø 18,2cm. Inside applied decor. On the right Bacchus with vine-wreath, thyrsos and kantharos, at his side a panther. On the other side a large and beautifully decorated ship with dancing or music making cupids, below a fish. Broken and reassembled, small missing parts are retouched.
