Roman head of a girl - Roman head of a girl. Augustean, End of 1st century BC. Height 13,9cm and with stand 18cm. Under life size head made of white fine marble. The child with chubby cheeks wearing a headdress combing a braid running over the crest with loose hair at the sides. With copy of the Sotheby´s catalogue! Broken at the neck, otherwise intact except of very tiny surficial chippings, mounted on a stand. First published in 1975 and on exhibition 1987 in Geneva.
