Roman lid of a cinerarium. - Roman lid of a cinerarium. Middle Imperial Period, 2nd half 2th century AD. Height 29,8cm, width 59,1cm, depth 40cm. Fine white marble. Perhaps reworked from sarcophagus lid to cinerarium lid. With four acroteria, the front ones with theatre masks, the back ones with palmettes. On the tympanon a wreath with ties. At the lower side a corbel with several profiles. With catalogue, certificate and invoice of the Galerie Günter Puhze (copies)! The edge at the left front side broken, the full right half modernly overworked.
