Small Greek bronze situla. - Small Greek bronze situla. 350 - 250 BC. Height without and with handle 9,5 / 13,2cm, ø corpus 8,8cm. Bucket for wine or water with curved corpus, two movable stirrup handles and two handle attachments in form of a silen and lion head, last one serving at once as spout. Below the rim and underneath trimmed groove-decor. Also underneath four old labels. Dark green patina, traces of corrosion, one handle ending broken, otherwise intact. With auction history going back to 1882!
