Shabti for a gentleman, usurped by a lady. - Shabti for a gentleman, usurped by a lady. Turquoise faience, H 20cm. Late period, 26th/27th dynasty, about 700 - 400 BC. Mummy-shaped with a back pillar, a tripartite wig, a beard, and a hoe and plow in crossed hands. Hieroglyphic inscription in eight horizontal lines. Beard broken, glaze worn.
