A bust of the Pharao Mykerinos. - A bust of the Pharao Mykerinos , Old Kingdom, 4th dynasty, 2489 - 2462 BC. The bare torso of a muscular man with a ceremonial beard and nemes headscarf, crowned by a uraeus serpent. The face is characterized by thick lips, slightly bulging eyes, and a broad, somewhat blunt nose. Apparently in the Middle Kingdom the headdress of the figure was reworked and the nemes headscarf typical usually worn by pharaohs was turned into a chat headdress worn by gods, thus preparing the image for cultic veneration. Broken horizontally slightly above the navel, beard, tip of nose and uraeus snake broken. With copies of the invoice and a certificate from 2004!
