Plaque for funeral of Apis bull - Plaque for funeral of Apis bull. New Kingdom, 19th dynasty, era of Ramses II., 1279 - 1213 BC. Limestone with copper inlays. W 4.5cm H 8.5cm. One side with apis bull with sun disc in copper between the horns. In front of him a lotus blossom, the symbol of resurrection. Opposite the bull is the high priest, whom Schlögl identifies as the son of Ramses II, Chaemwese. On the other side of the plaque, a winged sun disc inlaid in copper. Below it lies the god Anubis, opposite him the priest. Fragment.
