Kohl pot . - Kohl pot in fine banded alabaster complete with disc lid, part of the original contents remaining. The form has a pronounced shoulder and splayed foot and the underside of the broad flattened rim slopes in sharply to the neck. The lid, which is slightly paler in tone, has a flattened locating lug to fit snugly in the aperture of the vessel. Middle Kingdom (c.1800 BC) H 80mm overall.
