Large statuette of Ptah-Sokar-Osiris. - Large statuette of Ptah-Sokar-Osiris. Figure 71.5 cm, base L 38.5 cm, W 11 cm, H 8 cm. Wood with multi-coloured paint on gesso. The figure stands on a rectangular base. It is mummy-shaped and wears a tripartite wig. Beneath this is a richly decorated neck collar and a winged scarab with a sun disc painted on it. Three vertical rows of hieroglyphs are depicted on the legs. On the back of the figure is a back pillar with hieroglyphs. On its head, the figure wears a feather crown with ram's horns, a sun disc and two ostrich feathers, which was specially crafted and is embedded in the head with a wooden peg. On three sides of the base, ankh signs and djed pillars are depicted alternately, and on the narrow front side, two jackals sit facing each other. Late Period, 2nd half 1st millennium BC. Various chips, a crack in the figure from head to knee height, two small cracks on the feet and a tiny missing fragment.
