Heart scarab. - Heart scarab. L 6.9 cm, W 4.9 cm. Dark green slate. Large amulet in the shape of a beetle. On the underside, a ten-line painted hieroglyphic inscription from the Book of the Dead. New Kingdom, 19th/20th Dynasty, 1295-1069 BC. Slightly scuffed at the edges.
