Attic black-figure horse-head amphora from the workshop of the Gorgon Painter. - Attic black-figure horse-head amphora from the workshop of the Gorgon Painter. 590 - 580 BC. H 37.1cm, ø 24.6cm. Belly amphora type B. Small image panels on both sides, including the head of a bridled horse with a red mane. Red lines running around above and below of the image panel and on the lower edge of the foot. Composed of mostly large fragments, with several repaired missing parts, surface slightly bumped or rubbed in places.
