Large Attic black-figure skyphos of the CHC Group (Chariot Courting Group). - Large Attic black-figure skyphos of the CHC Group (Chariot Courting Group). 500 - 490 BC. H 11.5cm, W with handles 21.7cm, ø rim 15.6cm. Pair of wrestlers between two trainers is depicted on each side. Details in white and red. Black glaze slightly rubbed off in a few places, otherwise intact with sinter residue. From the collection of pianist Professor Detlef Kraus (1919-2008), acquired in the 1960s to the early 1970s.
