Beautiful Apulian chous of Gnathia ware. - Beautiful Apulian chous of Gnathia ware. 320 - 300 BC. H 18.6cm, ø 10.1cm. Slender oinochoe with treefoil mouth of type 3. Black glazed with yellow painting. Several garlands form three fields on the belly, the central one containing a woman's head with sakkos in outline technique, and rosettes in the outer fields. Handle and a foot fragment broken and reattached, with a small missing part at the back of the foot.
