Large Attic red-figure lekanis of the Otchët group. - Large Attic red-figure lekanis of the Otchët group. 380 - 360 BC. H with lid 13.1cm, W with handles 29.3cm, ø of lid 19.6cm. The lid depicts an idealized scene from a women's chamber. Two young, richly dressed women sit with a mirror and alabastron or small box. Between them, two Erotes float toward them, bringing them further boxes of jewelry or cosmetics. Lid intact except for a small chip on the knob, cup assembled but complete except for small retouched defects on the broken edges.
