Marble portrait of Antonia minor. - Marble portrait of Antonia minor (36 BC - 37 AD). White, fine-crystalline marble. H 26cm. Female portrait with a loose middle-parted hairstyle, the hair held together by a band and gathered into a braid at the nape. Washed-out surface with remnants of marine incrustations. Broken in the neck and tips of the ears. Tip of the nose restored. Provenance: From a French private collection in Forqueux (Yveline); with Michel Cohen, Mythes et Legends, Paris 1988. With French antiquities Passport from 2014 and a copy of a letter of Michel Cohen. Published!
