Hittite envoy - Hittite envoy. Fine stone figure of an elderly, oriental foreigner, wearing a hittite costume and worshipping the pharao. H 5.3cm. Light beige stone (marble?). Upper body of a seated male figure with raised hands. He wears a voluminous middle-part hairstyle, which ends in two braids on the back and two braids falling over the shoulders. The shoulders are covered by a cloth that falls down the back. The pronounced belly, the sagging chest muscles, and the prominent facial wrinkles indicate an advanced age of the depicted figure. New Kingdom, 18th Dynasty. 1550 - 1295 BC. Left hand missing, broken at the belly.
