Gilded statuette of enthroned Isis. - Gilded statuette of enthroned Isis. Wood with stucco. H 34cm. Isis sits on a throne with a low back, her right hand grasping her bare breast. Her left arm is bent and extended forward. A separately crafted bronze crown with a sun disk and cow horns sits atop her three-part wig. The uraeus serpent on her forehead is bronze as well. The body, except for the eyes, is entirely gilded; the throne and base are painted white. Late Period, 711 - 323 BC. Few cracks, in excellent overall condition!
