Part of a bronze sistrum. - Part of a bronze sistrum with the head of the goddess Hathor lavishly decorated with gold inlays. Late Period, 26th dynasty, 664 - 525 BC. H 9,9cm. Upper part of a sistrum, with identical reliefs on both sides. Preserved is the head of Hathor, which carries a naos-shaped structure. In the opening of the naos rises an upright uraeus serpent. The goddess wears a strand wig, from which her cow ears protrude. Mounted. Published and exhibited in 1985!
