Part of a faience sistrum. - Part of a faience sistrum with the head of the goddess Hathor wearing a lavish pectoral. Late Period, 25th - 26th dynasty, 744 - 525 BC. H 9,3cm. Identical reliefs on both sides depicting the head of Hathor carrying a naos-shaped structure. At the sides rises an upright uraeus serpent. The base of the naos is decorated by rows of Uraeus serpents with red sun-disks on her head. Handle broken, fragmentary.
