A Qajar Tile Panel Depicting a Seated Nobleman, 19th Century. A finely painted rectangular tile from Qajar Persia, depicting a seated bearded nobleman in a polychrome robe adorned with floral medallions, his hand resting on a throne-like chair. The figure is framed within a lobed cartouche bordered in black, set against a luminous sky with Arabic script beside the head, likely a name or title. The outer border is decorated with swirling cobalt blue and white floral arabesques and rocaille motifs. Approximately 53 x 33cm Provenance: Private collection from a distinguished British collector.
