A Persian Kulah Khud Helmet in the Form of a Peacock, 20th Century. A Persian kulah khud steel helmet modelled as a peacock, the bird's neck and head emerging from the dome, complete with feathered tail and solar facial motif at the front. The helmet is etched and parcel-gilt throughout with traditional Islamic patterns, featuring four plume holders and an articulated chainmail skirt.
