An Indian Royal Procession Pichwai Painting on Textile, 19-20th Century. This Indian pichwai painting depicts a regal procession of elephants and courtiers in front of a palace backdrop. Set beneath a canopy of palm trees and domed Mughal architecture, the scene features five elaborately adorned elephants carrying royal figures under parasols, attended by a parade of gracefully dressed female attendants holding fans and garlands. Approximately 148 x 112cm Provenance: Private collection from a distinguished British gentleman.
