Bidspirit auction | A Seljuk Bronze Oil Lamp

A Seljuk Bronze Oil Lamp on Tripod Feet, 12–13th Century. This intricately cast bronze oil lamp stands on three stylised hoofed legs extending from a domed base pierced with geometric and floral patterns. The stem features stacked knops and a tall, cylindrical shaft finely pierced with interlacing vegetal and kufic designs. The top plate, edged with a serrated rim, is decorated with concentric borders and inscribed with calligraphic elements.
