A Kashan Underglaze Painted Pottery Bowl, Persia, 13th Century. A turquoise-glazed pottery bowl from Kashan, Persia, dating to the 13th century. The interior is decorated with a network of black underglaze painted motifs, featuring abstract foliate scrolls and linked circular forms radiating around a central roundel. The turquoise ground is enriched with darker cobalt shading, producing a luminous contrast. The exterior shows traces of similar scrolling decoration.
