A Qajar Luster Ceramic Tile Depicting an Equestrian Scene, 19th Century. A rectangular Qajar period ceramic tile finely decorated in vibrant polychrome and luster. The scene depicts a richly dressed horseman in a floral landscape, his falcon perched upon his arm, attended by a standing figure leading the horse. The background is adorned with blossoming lotus flowers, flowing water, mountains, and architectural structures, all rendered in shades of cobalt blue, turquoise, green, and manganese. Approximately 31 x 23cm Provenance: Private collection from a distinguished W London collector.
