A Silver Tabaristan Half Dirham of Governor Suleiman, 784–788 AD. A silver half dirham from Tabaristan, issued under the governorship of Suleiman between 784–788 AD (2nd century AH). The obverse features the characteristic stylised Sasanian-style bust, framed by circular beaded borders and star-and-crescent motifs. The reverse shows the traditional fire altar flanked by two attendants, with surrounding Pahlavi script naming the local authority and dating formula. 1.55g Provenance: Private collection from a distinguished Danish collector.
