A Greek Silver Stater of Rhodes with Medusa Head and Lotus Reverse, 300–350 BC. A finely struck Rhodian silver stater, featuring on the obverse a bold and expressive head of Medusa, her flowing hair and stylised features rendered in the characteristic late-Classical Greek style. The reverse shows the iconic lotus flower, a long-standing civic emblem of Rhodes, framed by a surrounding border and accompanied by Greek lettering. 6.9g Provenance: Private collection from a distinguished Danish collector.
