A Mesopotamian Bronze Axe Head, 1st Millennium BC. A cast bronze axe head featuring a gently expanded blade and a looped suspension ring at the rear. One side displays a low-relief scene of a leaping feline attacking a horned animal, the bodies rendered in stylised linear contours. The opposite face carries the same motif in mirrored form, with the animals positioned along the curved transition of the blade.
