A Bakhtari-Style Lapis Lazuli Eagle Finial, Possibly 2nd Millennium BC. A finely carved lapis-lazuli eagle rendered in Bakhtari style, featuring a broad, stylised wingspan pierced with symmetrical circular depressions. The body is elongated, tapering into a columnar base, with the wings cut through at the sides to create openwork voids. The head is boldly modelled with a hooked beak and incised eyes.
