An Indus Valley Painted Pottery Jar with Twin Handles, circa 2500–2000 BC. A globular Indus Valley pottery jar, formed in a buff terracotta fabric and decorated with characteristic black-painted geometric motifs. The rim features a tightly rendered cross-hatched lattice band, while the body is encircled by a repeating stylised leaf-and-spine pattern in alternating buff and black pigment. Two rounded loop handles emerge from the shoulder, each smoothly integrated into the vessel’s form.
