An Indian Bronze Figure of Ganesha, 9th–10th Century CE. A finely cast bronze figure depicting Ganesha, the revered Hindu deity known as the remover of obstacles. The figure portrays Ganesha seated in a dynamic posture on a tiered base, with his characteristic elephant head and multiple arms faintly discernible despite age-related surface wear. The piece shows encrustations and a deep green surface tone consistent with age. Such bronzes were typically used in personal shrines or temple rituals during the early medieval period of India.
