An Anglo-Indian Mother-of-Pearl Inlaid Lidded Box with Velvet Interior. An Anglo-Indian lidded box of hexagonal form, constructed from fitted panels of iridescent mother-of-pearl. The exterior is composed of carefully arranged geometric sections, forming a faceted surface that reflects light in tones of white, cream, and subtle iridescence. The lid rises in a gently tiered, sloping form, echoing the polygonal structure of the base. A small metal clasp secures the front, with corresponding hinges to the reverse.
