Antique Copper & Brass Bed Warmer
A charming and practical piece that harks back to a time when such items were essential for providing warmth in beds. The body of the warmer is crafted from copper and brass, showcasing a beautiful combination of metals. Copper is known for its heat conductivity, making it an ideal material for such warming implements.
The wooden handle adds a touch of warmth and comfort, making it easy to maneuver the bed warmer. This feature not only serves a practical purpose but also contributes to the overall aesthetic of the piece.

The pan with a lid, designed to hold coals, is a functional element of the bed warmer. This allowed people in earlier times to heat the pan, fill it with hot coals, and then slide it between the sheets or blankets to warm up the bed before retiring for the night. The lid helped to keep the coals secure and contained.

From the tip of the handle it measures approximately 70cm and the pad has a 20cm diameter

The purchaser is the highest accepted bidder.
