1958 South African 5 Shillings coin

The 1958 South African 5 Shillings coin is a silver coin featuring a distinctive design with a springbok on the face and the head of Queen Elizabeth the second on the reverse, who was the reigning monarch at the time.

The coin has a weight of 28.2 grams.
This coin is part of the pre-decimal currency system used in South Africa before the country adopted the Rand in 1961.
