The watercolor is signed and accompanied by its preparatory tracing with a copyright transfer stamp on the back dated “Paris 20-9-44” attesting to an editorial project contemporary with the events. Original work in the spirit of the illustrated press of the 1940s and a rare historical testimony to the representations of the Allied presence.
