Poland - An envelope that was sent in 1936 by airmail from Lodz, Poland, to the Anglo-Palestine Bank in Tel Aviv (Palestine), arriving in just 3 days, with a special seal marking the first flight between Poland and Israel - Poland - An envelope that was sent in 1936 by airmail from Lodz, Poland, to the Anglo-Palestine Bank in Tel Aviv (Palestine), arriving in just 3 days, with a special seal marking the first flight between Poland and Israel Envelope details (Obverse side): Registered envelope, with a red rectangular stamp reading ”ŁÓDŹ 1” (Lodz 1), and the registration number 1976 in handwriting. Large purple round seal with a picture of an airplane and the inscription in Polish ”PRZEWIEZIONO SAMOLOTEM” (Transferred by airplane). Another purple round seal in Hebrew with a picture of an airplane, the inscription: ”Flight from Poland, Israel, 27-X 1936”. On the left side, the sender is written in Polish: ”ŁÓDZKI BANK DEPOZYTOWY Top red ink seal of the Polish Post (”POCZTA POLSKA”) with the eagle emblem, approximately 50 groszy (GROSZY). Another red round seal with the date ”ŁÓDŹ 24 X 36” (October 24, 1936). Details on the envelope (Back side): A large red sticker of the sending bank (ŁÓDZKI BANK DEPOZYTOWY) with the exact address of the branch in Lodz. Two round black postal seals, one from Tel Aviv with the inscription: ”TEL AVIV 30.10.36, and the other from Haifa ”29.30.36”. Good condition Condition according to the pictures
