Below the portraits appear the stylized letters ”RC”, which are the couple's initials (”Rainier & Grace”), and the inscription ”MONACO” at the bottom. At the top left of the postcard is a 2-franc stamp issued to commemorate the wedding, featuring the portraits of Prince Rainier III and Princess Grace Kelly, each in a separate circle, printed with the royal crown emblem, the inscription ”MONACO”, and the date ”19 AVRIL 1956”. The text is written in Romanian, and indicates that the authors were in Monte Carlo at the time, admiring the beauty of the area and the French Riviera and expressing appreciation for their friend, who seemed to be a stamp enthusiast, and therefore chose a postcard with this special collector's stamp especially for him.
