The item is stamped with 4 British India stamps of the ”ONE ANNA” type in red with a portrait of George VI. The airmail symbol appears in the upper left corner: ”BY AIR MAIL – PAR AVION”. A round postmark in black includes the letter ”T” (Tax), indicating a charge for lack of franking (missing frank). An additional rectangular postmark marking ”TO PAY 22 MILS” indicates the amount of the debt paid in Israel.
